Omar Khan, SVP for Strategy and Product Development, Samsung Telecommunications America, Inc. delivered a heads up on "Smart Life", a new feature designed to enhance the user experience. Quoting Khan, "The Samsung Galaxy S Model GT-I9000 and 'Smart Life' are giving users an experience that is integrated, immersive and intelligent."

Take your portable office on the road. "ThinkFree" and get your work done with handy note taking. Receive all your email, Bluetooth, WiFi and messages on the fly and open PDF and MS Office documents without conversion. Included are the basic mobile features like GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.

The social media hub incorporates all of your Twitter, personal and business emails and places it on a single screen.

JK Shin, president and head of Samsung Electronics' Mobile Communications Business stated "Americans want to watch high quality video content on their phones just as they can on their TV or computer at home." He further stated "They want easy multitasking on their handset. They are demanding of services such as real-time traffic reports, 3D Maps and directions."

It sports a 5 MP 2592 x 1944 pixel camera featuring auto focus, touch focus, Geo-tagging and face & smile detection with a secondary VGA camera. Storage memory weighs in at 16GB / 8GB with an external memory slot up that can handle up to 32GB.

Much to the dismay of hard core techies, the Samsung Galaxy S doesn't support 4G at this time but there is always hope!
